Can you stand your Beauty? Or does your beauty come inside a bottle and the amount of attention it receives on social media. Being beautiful is something that some women desire to be. We achieve it with the desired figure, the right attire or the right make-up. In most cases all of the above. Making yourself look beautiful is fun, choosing different colours and styles, following the latest trends or creating your own signature look.
What is beauty and why do we care so much? Like everything, beauty puts a smile on our faces. Seeing flowers or plants, a car, a dress or even a colour makes us feel lovely inside. Beauty makes us feel happy and can turn our frown into a smile. Watch how your mood changes when you see a new-born baby smile or laugh. Your heart melts and your eyes might water and you feel this rush of pleasantness and everything seems to melt away. You can say that beauty is and can be a bit of a obession.
Our own beauty is something that we can struggle with. You can see a woman with no makeup and gasp how naturally beautiful they are, you may comment on their post on instagram, Youtube or facebook. No matter how many times a positive comment is made, how many of those comments enter into their brain and absorbed into belief. Behind closed doors, we tend to look for flaws and sometimes, get maps out in search of them. We even see things that others do not see, even if we point them out with a stick. Everyone has a flaw or two that they may not like, it’s just that some people do not let it get to them, while others hang onto it like it is the only thing in their lives that matter. Like a lot of things in life, beauty is a state of mind. You either choose to believe that you are beautiful or you don’t. As beauty is viewed more of a physical trait and it is very hard to see anything else but that. Being beautiful is something that seems to have been thrusted on us since the beginning of time. Beauty seems to be a conduit to success. It is like a beacon to attract anything and anyone you want. Maybe this is why we crave it so much. Seeing beautiful people with beautiful partners, dressed in beautiful clothes, driving beautiful cars and live in beautiful houses it is no wonder that beauty today is at the forefront of most of our lives.
The truth of the matter is that you look like what you look like and as hard as it is to do, we have to accept that. The make-up, the hair, the clothes are just things that cover up your natural you. Ask yourself this question. If you looked liked your icon, could you be sure that you still wouldn’t find flaws in the way you look. Would you still see yourself as beautiful?
